Kia Ora DC Kiwis
Kia Ora DC Kiwis was established in 2015. The organization has grown to include over 600 Kiwis in DC, Virginia and Maryland and beyond. We welcome all and endeavor to host a variety of events throughout the year so Kiwis can gather to korero (speak) or for a good natter (chat), hear each other’s Kiwi accents, and share our love for our home country far away!

Kia Ora DCKiwis is a not for profit organization 501(c)3 helping educate members and organize activities for social networking of New Zealanders and Kiwi adjacents in the DC area and beyond.

OTHER EVENTS
We arrange activities through the year around sporting events, kiwi happy hours, casual gatherings among members and friends, and any fun event. We thrive thanks to the support of our members, volunteers, partners and the strong Kiwi spirit of lending a hand and Bringing a Plate.
ANNUAL HANGI
Our annual hangi gets us back to the traditional Maori feast! This is usually our main event for the year. An afternoon of games, songs, networking and fun. We provide kiwi items for sale, raffles, a bake sale and end the day with a fabulous Hangi meal.
WHANAU DAY
A family day where we get together for a sausage sizzle, some good kiwi games, and some singing and networking with other kiwis.
